Firebird is a wearable piece inspired by the tale “Yvan Tsarevitch, the Grey Wolf and the Firebird”.
Telling the story of Yvan Tsarevitch is telling the story of the firebird. This one can be bringer of joy and misery. We either are blessed and get to enjoy a frivolous life that will cause only spiritual emptiness, or we can suffer, work, overcome all adversity and rejoice all the efforts we made up to that instant. By overcoming all those problems, we die and reborn into the hero we are.
Reconstruction and destruction, this sweater allows the user to become both Yvan and the Firebird, showing their intricate relationship, between destruction and rebirth.
By adapting this story and its symbolic elements, it allows for new forms on how archetypal wear can be created, building new characters and costumes.
